A local group is looking to strengthen Fort Erie's north and south neighbourhoods.
Catherine Mindorff from the St. Catherines Community Kitchen presented a delegation at last nights council meeting.
Some of the main concerns she brought up included early childhood development, access to healthy food and investment into people and neighbourhoods through local businesses.
The idea of the Strengthen Fort Erie Neighbourhoods Action Plan is to focus on economic opportunities, healthy lives and social development.
The plan is still in the early stages and the groups is working to setup communication lines for those interested in volunteering.
It plans to continue to engage with the community and gather information, to find out the best way to strengthen the area.
