More relief is on the way for Ontario families.
Starting this week, parents who received payments from the Support for Learners program will begin receiving money through the Ontario COVID-19 Child Benefit.
During this round of payments, parents will get $400 per child and $500 per special needs child, which is double the amount of the previous two rounds.
Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff says this is good news for Niagara parents.
"Every parent in Niagara with students aged 0 through Grade 12, and up to age 21 for children and youth with special needs, will benefit from the one-time payments."
Parents who didn't apply for or receive benefits from the Support for Learners program can apply for the new funding from May 3rd until the 17th.
More information on how to apply will soon be available here.
