Event will include speakers, live music and a candlelight walk
The Niagara Sexual Assault Centre is holding the Take Back the Night march in St. Catharines next week.
The event will take place September 21st, and start at 6:30 p.m. at the Market Square building on Queen Street.
It encourages the community to come together to end violence against women.
This year's theme is Your Voice, Your Night.
"Our theme this year is intended to encourage people to reflect not only on what Take Back the Night means to them personally but to consider what it means for the community as a whole. This event is an important reminder that violence against women is still happening," said Sheri Durksen, NSAC Board Member
The evening will include speakers from Brock University, Niagara College and the DSBN.
