Police called to school after 3 students threatened, appears gun was involved
An 18-year old from St. Catharines has been charged after Brock University was shut down briefly over the weekend.
Police were called to the school late Saturday afternoon, over reports of a confrontation between the suspect and three known acquaintences over a previous dispute.
They add the suspect, not a student of the school, uttered deaths threats while displaying what appeared to be a gun.
The three acquaintances ran and safely locked themselves in a nearby dormitory, unhurt.
Police found the suspect had left, and arrested him at a house in north St. Catharines at around 7pm. They found the gun involved, and determined it was a replica airsoft pellet gun.
Dante Palumbo had a bail hearing yesterday in St. Catharines, charged with possession of a weapon, criminal harassment and uttering threats.
