Mayor Horwath hopes to see buses back on road soon
A tentative deal has been reached to end the strike by the Hamilton Street Railway.
Mayor Andrea Horwath issued a statement indicating Amalgamated Transit Union local 107 will be recommending the deal to its members, who still have to vote on ratifying it.
She's also thanking the public for its patience during this roughly week long strike, and is looking forward to getting buses back on the road as soon as possible.
There hasn't been any indication of what is in the deal, but the union had been asking for wage increases.
