Terror charges have been laid against the man accused of killing four members of a Muslim family and injuring another in London.
The suspect was facing four first degree murder charges and one count of attempted murder in the case.
At a court appearance this morning, prosecutors revealed they had received consent to also pursue terrorism charges.
The case has been put over to June 21st, to allow the accused time to obtain legal counsel.
On June 6th, Salman Afzaal, his wife Madiha, their daughter Yumna and her grandmother, Talat Afzaal were run over by a pickup truck while enjoying an evening walk.
The lone survivor, nine year old Fayez Afzaal, remains in hospital but is expected to make a full recovery.
