Thousands people have signed an online petition calling for an extended winter break for Brock University students.
December 22nd will be the final day for exams and the university is currently scheduled to reopen January 4th.
Those who have signed the petition would like the break extended until January 11th to give students more time to relax.
It says this school year has been very challenging due to the pandemic, and students need more time to mentally rejuvenate before going back to school.
It adds the extended break would also give students more time to self-isolate before they see their families this holiday season.
Over 5,800 people had signed the petition as of 9:30 a.m. this morning.
