Golfer recuperating after surgery.
Tiger Woods is said to be awake, responsive and recovering following a crash in Los Angeles that left him with serious injuries to his right leg.
Doctors say a long surgical procedure resulted in rods, pins and screws being inserted in order to stabilize the injuries.
Authorities have not said what caused Woods to hit a road sign, cross over a raised median and two oncoming lanes before toppling down an embankment, although police have said there is no evidence he was impaired
Athletes including Jack Nicklaus, Mike Tyson and Michael Jordan, and former presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump are offering their thoughts and prayers for the 45 year old golfer.
