The Town will receive a boost of nearly $1.3 million in federal-provincial Safe Restart Agreement Funding.
The funding is aimed towards assisting municipalities deal with the economic realities of the pandemic, while avoiding operating deficits in 2021.
Pelham Mayor Marvin Junkin says the province came to the rescue, and now taxpayers won't have to shoulder the burden of COVID-19 revenue losses.
"This funding is game-changing, and we are grateful to receive such a significant amount to help offset lost revenue and not ask our taxpayers to carry any of that burden."
In the first phase of funding, which was in August, Pelham received over $428,000 for transit.
