The OPP handed over 4,000 speeding tickets during a tragic three day long weekend that saw a motor vehicle driver, a motorcyclist, two off-roaders and a kayaker lose their lives.

A motor vehicle driver, a motorcyclist, two off-roaders and a kayaker died in separate incidents over the Civic holiday weekend.
The incidents mark the 145th vehicle occupant, 20th motorcyclist, 18th boater and 10th off-road vehicle rider deaths of the year in OPP jurisdictions.
OPP were out in full force over the long weekend, laying 6,340 charges on roads, waterways and trails.
This includes 4,117 tickets for speeding and 116 stunt/racing charges over the 3 days.
