MPP Sam Oosterhoff says Niagara Peninsula Energy is spending millions for Niagara West
Construction starting immediately on a new municipal transformer station in Lincoln, providing more electrical capacity for customers in Niagara West.
MPP Sam Oosterhoff recently announcing Niagara Peninsula Energy is spending over $35-million on the Spring Creek Transformer station.
Niagara Peninsula Energy says this is one of the most significant investments it's ever made.
The new station will take power from an adjacent Hydro One transmission line to support three existiing stations in Smithville, Vineland and Beamsville.
The government says the station, expected to be done in 2029, will provide an additional 102 megawatts in Lincoln and West Niagara.
