Crash happened on Toronto bound QEW at Victoria Avenue, all lanes closed

Traffic problems on the Toronto bound QEW at Beamsville.

Burlington OPP tweeted earlier this morning a transport truck ran into the back of a maintenance vehicle, as crews repaired potholes in the left lane.

Police add the 22-year old truck driver from Kitchener and a road worker were taken to hospital.

The truck driver has suffered life-threatening injuries, and the female road worker has serious injuries.

The crash forced the closure of all lanes at Victoria Avenue, but the highway re-opened shortly before noon.
