Police issued a number of tickets after resident complaints of trucks
Niagara and Hamilton police responding to residential complaints of too many trucks in Lincoln and West Lincoln.
They, along with Ministry of Transportation, did a blitz on Thursday, to ensure that trucks were not by-passing the Vineland scale on the QEW.
Police inspected 67 vehicles, both passenger and commercial, and took 16 of those off the road due to safety concerns.
They also issued 55 tickets, ranging for infractions from license plates not authorized for a vehicle, to improper load and tires, and expired insurance.
Police confiscated three sets of license plates.
