Police made a huge discovery at Peace Bridge
A major heroin drug bust at the Peace Bridge in Fort Erie.
Since December, a number of police organizations have been looking into suspected drug trafficking that allegedly involved heroin being brought into Canada from the US.
Police say on December 18th, they stopped a suspect transport truck crossing into Fort Erie, and after 1st glance at the customs booth, they referred it to secondary inspection.
With the help of the K9 unit, police found 42kgs of the drug, also offence related property and two cell phones.
Estimated street value of the heroin is $6.98-million.
