Man in his thirties pronounced dead at the scene
A man is dead and two others are facing manslaughter charges after an incident in St. Catharines.
Around 8:00 p.m. last night, emergency crews were called to a housing complex on Louth Street near Valley Road.
A 34 year old man was found in critical condition.
Despite efforts from paramedics, he was pronounced dead.
Two men were placed under arrest at the scene.
Facing charges are 42 year old Ryan Logtenberg of St. Catharines and 45 year old Shawn Montgomery of no fixed address.
The pair have been charged with the following:
- Manslaughter
- Fail to Comply with Release Order
They were both held in custody to attend a video bail hearing today.
The Homicide Unit is investigating, and police say they don't believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.
