Canadian economy added 64,000 jobs last month
Canada's unemployment rate remained steady last month, at 5.5 percent.
According to Statistics Canada, the economy added 64,000 jobs, most of which were part time.
The average hourly wage last month was about five percent higher than a year ago.
The agency says the labour market has cooled with rising interest rates, but the unemployment rate is below pre-pandemic levels.
