Casino Niagara and Fallsview have remained closed as so many businesses in the Region reopen.
Now, Unifor is calling on the province to come up with a plan to safely reopen casinos and other gaming operations.
Unifor National President Jerry Dias says there's no sound science behind allowing big box stores, gyms and restaurants to reopen, but not casinos.
The two casinos in Niagara Falls employ thousands of people.
Under Stage 3 provincial guidelines, casinos are allowed to reopen, with a limit of 50 people and no table games.
Mayor Jim Diodati has said the casinos can typically hold 11,000 people and right now it's not worth it for them to reopen.
He says they are the number one employer in the Region and we need to get everyone back to work safely.
