Unifor has reached a tentative deal with General Motors.
President Jerry Dias says it includes an investment of $1.3-billion which would allow the Oshawa Plant to resume vehicle production next year.
GM would hire up to 1,700 workers in order to produce new pickup trucks.
The tentative agreement also includes a $109-million investment towards the St. Catharines Plant for engine and transmission production.
Union members will vote on the deal this Sunday.
