Members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers union are off the job
There could be some major service disruptions today for commuters heading to Union Station.
Nearly 100 employees at Canada's busiest transportation hub walked off the job just after midnight this morning.
The 95 workers, who are mainly responsible for signals and communication maintenance as well as train control at the Union Station rail corridor, are members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers union.
The workers have been without a contract since December 2019.
