United Way Niagara is investing $123,039 to help vulnerable people in our community.
The money will be going to Niagara Region Community Services and Community Support Services of Niagara.
The investment is funded in part by the federal government’s New Horizons for Seniors Program.
It provides grants to support programs for seniors during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Community Support Services of Niagara is expanding its grocery delivery service.
It’s for seniors over the age of 55 and those for those living with disabilities.
Niagara Region Community Services would like to enhance their Niagara Gatekeepers program.
It offers a variety of services to local seniors, to make sure their basic needs are met during these uncertain times.
