The federal government has issued a travel warning, saying there are threats to essential infrastructure like airports.
West Jet says two flights in and out of MAZZ-AHT-LANN have been cancelled today.
Air Canada says none of its flights have been impacted.
Next week, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is expected to be in Mexico City as part of a North American Leaders Summit.
Sources say the summit is expected to go ahead as planned.
