Wainfleet Council has passed it's 2020 budget and it looks like taxes will be going up for local homeowners.
The average homeowner with a home valued at $322,204 will pay an extra 48-cents per day on the township's portion of their bill.
It works out to $174.93 for the year.
Council approved more than $9-million in capital expenditures, over $5-million for operating requirements and a more than $786,000 contribution to the infrastructure levy.
The construction of a new fire hall is one of the big projects in the budget.
It's going to replace station 1 and station 2 and will act as the department's primary headquarters.
