The Township of Wainfleet is mourning the loss of its first and only Chief of Police.
Colin Filson served as the Wainfleet Police Chief from 1960 to 1971 when the Niagara Regional Police Service was formed.
He was recently honoured at the Northland Pointe long-term care home for his years of service.
Filson died on Saturday, a week before his 91st birthday.
Mayor Kevin Gibson says he will be missed.
