The Township of Wainfleet is reaching out to the provincial government for help with supporting those affected by the Halloween storm.
On October 31 the Niagara Region was shook with rain and winds reaching 130 kilometers per hour.
On November 4 the Township of Wainfleet reached out to the Province for help.
Ontario has two programs that provide support following natural disasters.
The ministry dispatched a team on November 7 to evaluate the damage and assess the scope of the storm.
To help with gathering information Wainfleet is asking any residents affected by the storm to email them any information about their situation.
If you are affected you can email CEMC@wainfleet.ca with the following information:
1. Name
2. Address
3. Type of residence
4. Type of damage
5. Should another storm occur, is more damage likely to occur?
