Comes after inspections by the Ministry of the Environment
Here's something to keep in mind the next time you drink water from the tap, or grab a shower.
The Niagara region's six water treatment facilities have earned a 100% rating from the Ministry of Environment during its inspections for the period of 2022 to 2023.
The government does scheduled and unscheduled inspections annually.
Aside from looking at water quality monitoring, the inspections look at water operations, including reporting, record keeping and certification and training.
Phil Lambert is the Acting Director of Water-Wastewater Services, and says this highlights the important work regional staff provide to the community.
