Crews on scene
The city says as a result the northbound lane of Valley Way will be closed between Willmott Street and Morrison Street.
Residents on that section of the street will also experience water service interruptions.
It's estimated the work will probably take an estimated 8 to 10 hours to complete.
Officials also advise the water may be slightly discolored and off tasting after the interruption but this will disappear shortly after resuming use of the water.
Running your cold water tap only, will help resolve the problem.
