Charges laid against 45 year old man
Niagara Regional Police have charged a 45 year old man with 3 counts of assault with a weapon following an incident in Thorold yesterday.
Police were called to an apartment building at 64 Front Street in Thorold just before 11:30 a.m. after reports of a man brandishing an edged weapon had an altercation with some members of the public.
Lance Zilberleib of no fixed address is also charged with mischief and is being held in custody for a bail hearing today.
Police also located and seized a machete brandished by the suspect.
NRP say three victims in this matter were not physically injured.
Four other persons that were in an apartment with Zilberleib at the time of his arrest were released without charge.
