City council approved it last year, LIV Communities contributing $500,000 over 10-years
If you plan to use the Welland main arena, you'll find new signs showing it's new name.
The city says it's proud to rename it the LIV Communities Arena, after city council approved a naming rights agreement last year.
The city also says LIV Communities has committed $500,000 over a 10-year period to support repair work, this partnership showing an agreement to important infrastructure while reducing the burden on taxpayers.
The $500,000 will support on-going repairs and make sure the building stays safe for community use, including needed maintenance that might otherwise be delayed.
It also says LIV Communities covered the cost of designing, creating and installing the new sign.
