The St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation is planning on closing it at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday January 8th, operating conditions permitting.
This is all part a season extension pilot project.
Anyone looking to pass through the canal after 11:59 p.m. on December 26th will have to sign a written agreement in advance.
