Welland Mayor Frank Campion and other city officials were able to participate in the first-ever virtual AMO Conference.
The delegation met with several provincial officials last week including Minister of Long-Term Care Merrilee Fullerton, Minster of Infrastructure Laurie Scott and Minister of Transportation and Francophone Affairs Caroline Mulroney.
They were able to discuss several city projects and strategic priorities.
Mayor Campion says they also discussed economic recovery from COVID-19.
"This has been an unprecedented year for all municipalities, so continuing to work with all levels of government is more important now than it ever has been. We are better prepared to face economic instability from the global pandemic and move forward with our communities in joint recovery."
