The Welland Fire Department is issuing a warning for e-bike riders.
The fire department says it's seeing more fires caused by e-bike batteries, including one earlier today.
Authorities say today's incident created a large amount of smoke and caused small explosions.
Riders are being reminded not to use off-brand or after-market batteries and chargers.
Instead, you should follow manufacturer instructions for charging, storing and maintaining your e-bike battery.
