Police say the charges relate to drug and weapon offences
A 23-year-old man from Welland is facing a number of drug and weapon charges after a disturbance at a Niagara Falls motel.
Police say they were called to the Lundy's Lane and Drummond Road area late Thursday night, to find a suspect had tried to enter a room with a dog.
When the suspect found he wasn't welcome, police say he forced the dog to lunge at the victim and threatened to have the dog attack.
He took off before police arrived, but was found about 2 hours later in the Victoria and Walnut street area asleep in the car, with the dog.
During the arrest, police say they found some meth and fentanyl, a loaded gun, and some Canadian money.
Kyle Thomas Adams was charged with uttering threats, as well as drug and weapon offences.
He appeared in bail court in Hamilton over the weekend.
