Man pulls out a knife after verbal argument gets heated
A man from Welland is accused of assaulting another man with a weapon.
Around 12:25 p.m. yesterday, police received a report of a man armed with a knife near Market Square and Young Street.
Police say the knife was pulled out after an argument between two men escalated.
One of the men tried to slash the other, but nobody was hurt.
Officers found the suspect a short distance away, and placed him under arrest.
Jacob Isaac Lundy, 22, was charged for the following offences:
- Assault with a Weapon
- Fail to Comply with a Probation Order (2 Counts)
A bail hearing will take place later today.
