City gets $96,067 from the province's Municipal Modernization program.
The City of Welland is getting a boost from the province.
The City has received over $96,000 from the province's Municipal Modernization Program for its digital records management system implementation.
The funding will cover up to 65 percent of the project's costs.
The project looks to create a user-friendly system to help staff have easier access to records.
"This funding allows the City to modernize its records, creating easier access and a user-friendly system for staff," said CAO Steve Zorbas. "The provincial government funding to modernize our city emphasizes the commitment on both ends to continue to make Welland a premier place to live, work, play, and invest."
