Revitalization work delayed while the City seeks grant opportunities.
The City of Welland is holding off on work to revitalize the Memorial Park pool.
Council has approved the delay after the city missed out on a federal grant, due to bids to do the work coming in over budget.
The City says the current design will remain in effect until a grant is awarded and the project re-tendered.
The project was originally slated to start last year, but was put on hold to try for the grant.
Staff say if required, the pool can operate next season with minimal renewal requirements.
