Rain changing to rain snow mix then to snow today
Environment Canada has issued a winter storm warning for Niagara.
The weather office says rain showers will transition to snow this afternoon and into this evening.
Snow is then expected to continue through tomorrow but there is still some uncertainty regarding additional snowfall amounts on Thursday.
The weather service says snow with total accumulations of 20 to 30 cm are possible by tomorrow night.
Snowfall rates may reach up to 2 cm per hour at times causing reduced visibilities.
