She was trying to save her dog, before falling through the ice herself.
A woman went through the ice at Glenridge Quarry in St. Catharines yesterday morning.
Police say her dog went through the ice and she tried to rescue it, before she went through herself.
Emergency crews were called to the site just before 10:00 a.m.
By the time they got there, the woman had pulled herself to shore.
She was taken to hospital and treated for hypothermia.
The dog is safe after making its way out of the water.
