She picks up the $100,000 prize after adding Encore to her tickets
A St. Catharines woman has won $100,000 with Lotto 6/49, after following the advice of her mother.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation says Aimee-Rose Tupaz has been playing the lottery, on and off, for about 5-years.
When her mom suggested she added Encore to all her tickets, she did, and in the September 14th draw, she matched the last six of seven numbers in order.
When she realized the win, she thought the app was wrong.
She says she's going to pay off her mortgage with the money.
The winning ticket was bought at Avondale on Rockwood Avenue in St. Catharines.
