Niagara Region Public Health is confirming 18 new COVID-19 cases today.
The area's death toll remains at 433.
There are 13 Niagara Health patients with the virus, and two are in the ICU.
Twelve of the patients are unvaccinated.
Public health officials say Niagara has 241 active cases of the virus, along with 14 active outbreaks.
So far, more than 709,000 vaccinations have been administered.
About 75.9 percent of local residents have at least one shot, and 71.4 percent are fully immunized.
