Update: Police have released name of deceased man, after murder at a residential area
Update Wednesday 4:30pm:
An update from police concerning a murder in Welland.
Niagara regional police say 24-year old Mathew Theal of Welland was found with life threatening injuries at a home in the Broadway area yesterday morning.
He was pronounced dead at hospital.

One man is dead, and another charged with 2nd degree murder in Welland.
Police were called yesterday morning, around 10:30, to a home in the Broadway and Pietz Avenue area to help in a call for an ambulance.
They found a man with life threatening injuries, who was taken to hospital and died.
Police arrested and charged 19-year old Sommer E. Etherden of Welland.
Police add those living in the area can expect to see police while they continue the investigation.
They add there is no on-going threat to public safety.
