It was great summer for the newly renovated Bay Beach in Fort Erie, even with the new admission fee.
The town says over 95,000 people visited the beach between May and September, generating $428,363 in admission and parking.
Mayor Wayne Redekop says the changes were made to provide a higher level of service.
He says the town also received positive feedback from residents, businesses and visitors.
Council has already approved some new changes for next year; including a non-resident seasonal pass and a seasonal on-street parking pass for Crystal Beach.
Council also decided to get rid of paid on-street parking on Cherryhill Blvd, Rosewood Avenue, Lakewood Avenue and Oakwood Avenue.
