Bars and restaurants in New York State are now allowed to remain open until 11:00 p.m.
Governor Andrew Cuomo made the announcement, crediting declining hospitalization and infection rates.
The change will be made effective on Sunday.
Cuomo says that if infections decrease and vaccinations increase, the state will adjust accordingly.
Earlier this month, several establishments sued the state over the 10:00 PM curfew and were allowed to temporarily stay open after that time.
That decision was reversed on Wednesday.
