Starting in 2024, a permit will be required for Canadians heading to several countries in Europe
A heads up if you plan to go to Europe next year.
Starting in 2024, Canadians traveling to one of 30 countries in Europe will need to pay for a travel permit for trips up to 90 days.
Longer trips will require a visa.
Countries affected include France, Finland, Germany and Spain.
Passport holders will have to apply online for the permit.
EU officials say this is being done to strengthen border security.
