Elliot says she is now in a position to make a decision
Elliot told reporters last month she would not make a call until she had heard from hospital CEO’s, local medical officers of health and others involved in healthcare.
But now she says she is reviewing their responses and will make a final decision on whether to make COVID vaccines mandatory for workers in the health sector.
But several hospital systems including Niagara Health have already adopted their own policies.
Anyone who works at a Niagara hospital will need to be fully vaccinated by January 7th with very few exceptions.
