A man from Thorold has been killed in a car wreck in Niagara Falls.
The crash occurred around 8:09 a.m. today on Beaverdams Road.
Police say a white 2009 Mercedes-Benz C350 and a beige Toyota Camry collided.
The Camry driver, a 67 year old man from Thorold, was pronounced dead in hospital.
Police say the Mercedes driver, who wasn't hurt, was impaired with alcohol at the time.
25 year old Zoey-Anne Marie Hughes of Niagara Falls has been charged with the following offences:
- Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Death
- Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle Exceed Blood Alcohol Concentration
Beaverdams Road is still closed between Beechwood and Garner, and there is no word on when the road will re-open.
