Next week's Fort Erie Town Council meeting has not been cancelled, but it will not be open to the public.
Members of the public will be able to live stream the meeting on the town's YouTube Channel.
The Town has decided to close all town facilities to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
This will affect the following locations;
- Town Hall
- Gibson Operations Centre
- Fire Halls
- Leisureplex Arena and Banquet Hall
- Crystal Ridge Arena and Community Centre
- Fort Erie Historical Museum
- Railway Museum
- Economic Development and Tourism Services
- Fort Erie Public Library (All Branches)
They're scheduled to reopen April 5th.
Fire services will continue along with water, sewer and road operations.
Fort Erie Transit is operating all routes as per the normal schedule.
