Father Rico Passero looks out on empty pews and decides to try a new approach.
Passero and staff at St.Joseph Catholic Church in Grimsby printed photos of each parishioner.
The photos were taped to the pews where the members usually sat so during mass Passero could address his congregation like usual.
The people the photos represent watch a live stream of the mass from the security of their home.
The idea was replicated from Father Guiseppe Corbari in Italy.
Passero says the idea is to keep every member connected to the church in spirit during a time when they cannot be there in person.
