The hike will take place on Sunday at Canada Games Park
Hike for Hospice Niagara will take place this weekend.
On Sunday, the event will take place at Canada Games Park in Thorold, starting at 11:00 a.m.
Hospice Niagara offers a wide variety of free services, including a day hospice, end of life care, grief counselling and home services for people with a life-limiting illness.
Marketing Director Alicia Merry says Hospice Niagara relies heavily on fundraisers.
"We are not fully funded by the Ministry of Health. We're only partially funded. So fundraisers like the Hike for Hospice Niagara are very important to us, because they do allow us to keep offering programs free of cost to people and families across Niagara."
The event is accessible, and families can bring their four-legged friends.
The organization is looking to raise $90,000 this year.
Before the hike, there will be a Celebrating Life Ceremony to remember lost loved ones.

Hikers can choose between a one kilometre or a five kilometre walk.
