Hockey Canada admits to spending $7.6 million to settle nine sexual assault lawsuits.

The organization told the House of Commons today that it has paid out $7.6 million in nine sexual assault settlements since 1989.
This does not include the settlement with a woman who sued the organization in May.
Officials say about $6.8 million was was related to serial abuser Graham James.
The organization is being investigated by the House of Commons heritage committee, for its handling of sexual assault allegations.
Hockey Canada is under intense scrutiny since it was revealed that it's National Equity Fund had been used for uninsured payments like sexual assault claims.
The fund was covered by player fees.
