Steve Clark to stay on a Housing Minister despite Greenbelt controversy
Ontario's integrity commissioner has found Housing Minister Steve Clark violated two parts of the integrity act in regards to the Greenbelt land swap.
Commissioner J. David Wake says Clark violated sections that govern politician's ethics.
Last year, the government removed over 7,000 acres of land from the area, and replaced it with around 9,400 acres somewhere else, to make way for more housing.
Wake is accusing Clark of not overseeing the land selection process, adding this led to certain developers receiving preferential treatment from his chief of staff.
Both Clark and Premier Doug Ford have said they didn't do anything wrong.
Ford also says Clark will keep his job.
